sooo…i had like three blogs typed up on my computer BUT MY COMPUTER HATES ME AND DOESN'T WORK ANYMORE so I had to take it to a place to get it fixed so long story short I am on my squad leaders computer…
So this will be another short blog post SORRRRRY
so three weeks ago my team of five girls went to a small Honduran pueblo (village) and spent a week there.
It was absolutely amazing. We saw healings and healings and healings.
A few stories from da village:
The first night we got there we walked around and explored and were just praying for God to send us people. I was praying for spanish. We stopped and prayed for a number of people but one lady named Rosa (read my team mate Cherub Grace's blog about pink for more detail ;)) and we prayed for her fractured foot. That night she had crutches and a brace and we continued praying for her every night. Every single day she was outside waiting for us. It was so cool. By the end of that week she was able to limp around with no crutches!
We worked in a school everyday and one day there was a little boy who looked real sick. We found out that he had an infection on his foot because his shoes were too tight and then it spread to his thigh. He was sweating from his horrible fever. Kaci and I sat with him for like an hour….wiping his tears and holding a cool rag on his hot as fire head. The teacher told us that the only reason he came that day was because he wanted to see us. The next day he came back to school and looked 100 percent better. It was awesome.
When we got back from the village we worked at the property gardening and making gravel paths. Look on Zion's Gate's facebook page for pictures!
This past week I found out that my name sounds like the spanish word for thong…cool huh!?
Also this past week I worked as a teacher for 1st and 2nd graders at a bilangual school. I taught language arts, reading, and science. It was really frustrating but I loved every minute of it.
Well Thats all i'm gonna write for now because I can't really think right now sitting in this cinnabon with loud spanish music playing.
keep me in your prayers! ilya
