Soo my computer only has like 29 percent left on it soooo this will be another short and sweet blog post…
This week my team and another team's ministry was "property". This consisted of a lot of yard work, cleaning, and cooking all of the meals for everyone. Although it's not what one might have in mind when they hear the word "ministry", it is a HUUUGE part of it. Tony (our contact here in Honduras) has a good amount of things that he would like done at Zion's Gate. And it is all things that we, simply just as people can help him greatly with. It's cool to see the progress that we have already made in only like three days of work. Monday we went to a school for "Kids Day". We played games, sang songs and just hung out with the kids. It was just a lot of fun and very simple and easy. Wow this post is kind of boring. okay new story.
So on Wednesday…a handful of us went to a Honduran church service with a couple of the boys from Zion's Gate.    OH MY GOSH. Honestly that was probably my favorite thing we have been able to enjoy yet! We were all packed in the church and we walked in the middle of worship after our bus dropped us off. And let me tell you…that worship was so great. I was wearing a flannel shirt and I was sooo hot! We were jumping around and praising the  Lord in spanish. One song we sang repeated the word "fuego" faster and faster and over and over again. And then some more spanish that I didn't really know. Later Elliot, (one of the guys on my squad who knows a lot of spanish) said they were saying "Fire, purify us!" And I just think it's so cook that all of those Hondurans and all of us North Americans were able to jump around and praise God at the top of our lungs yelling out for the Holy Spirit to purify us! I hope we go to the church again because it was just so freeing and so powerful as well.
This week my team and I are going to a village about three hours away with 6 other Hondurans and one other North American to work in a school, with a church, and with soccer. And that's about all we know about that. I have a feeling that it is going to be very powerful and a wonderful experience in the least. As for now, I am sitting in the middle of the mall on the floor because I found a plug to plug in my computer! Praise God! hahaha. I don't have much else to say. It might be two more weeks before I can write again but please keep my team in your prayers as we go to the village. Also, pray for my spanish to improve…..I am praying that God will make me fluent……LOVE YALL A LOT

  5. Hey Girl. Your dad sent me your blog site so I could keep up with you. I know you are just as big of blessing to the people there as they are to you. God is so good to provide you the opportunity to experience all of this. Mission work is not a plush job by any means. It has it pitfalls and its mountain peaks just like other parts of your life. These people need you so much just to be there for them, just to let them know that you love and care for them and mostly that you are praying for them. I will continue to pray for you and the people you are ministering to. Love you, GMa
